US Government post war reconstruction programs
in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo

United States Government has entered into bilateral agreement with Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina to finance reconstruction of war damaged and devastated infrastructure in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Unioninvest has joined team of US companies lead by Parsons Inc, that made a joint proposal to the US Government to act as a General contractor for 300 mil US$ reconstruction effort.

There were almost 1000 different infrastructure projects completed under MIS Program in 5 sectors: power, water, transportation, health and education.

Individual projects were located throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. They were very different in value, size, and duration of construction. Some of the projects had the value of 30 – 50 thousand US$, other were in the value between few hundreds of thousands to 3 million US$, and the value of the project of reconstruction and revitalization of Kakanj Power Plant was 24 million US$. In some periods, more than a hundred projects were implemented simultaneously.

Unioninvest staff members were involved in all aspects of the program: program management, design, engineering, procurement, construction management, site supervision, safety management, quality control, environmental assessments, finance and administration.

Upon the completion of MIS project, Unioninvest, as a member of the same team of companies, has been granted the confidence of US Government, by awarding two new projects: 45 mil US$, three years, CISP Project in Kosovo and 70 mil US$, four years, CRSP Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
